At Sandspire & Co., we partner with educators to deliver transformative programs like The CROWN Project, designed to build confidence, character, and community.
Our curriculum empowers youth with the tools they need to lead with purpose—both in the classroom and beyond.
Originally launched as Build Her CROWN to support middle school girls, this transformative mentoring program was created by Allyson Sanders in partnership with Owensboro Public Schools. After seeing a 58.6% drop in reported behavioral incidents among its first cohort and an increase in confidence and attendance, other schools took notice. Soon after, Build His CROWN was developed, and the initiative evolved into what is now The CROWN Project.
Built around five core pillars (Confidence, Respect, Originality, Well-Roundedness, and Neighborliness), The CROWN Project combines large-group mentorship panels, small-group discussions, and reflective journaling to help students grow in leadership, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. The curriculum aligns with CASEL’s five core SEL competencies and is designed with real-world relevance and educator input in mind.
In 2025–2026, The CROWN Project will be implemented in multiple middle schools, with multiple flexible options for delivery:
Full Program Packages including panel curriculum, journals, prompt decks, and facilitator guides
Virtual or In-Person Training for educators
Facilitator Resource Packages for schools looking to implement the program in-house
Add-ons available to scale to additional groups or enrich the experience
